Police on the state’s central coast are conducting inquiries after an alleged ram raid in Wyee this morning.
Just before 2.30am (29 June), a silver Ford Territory allegedly reversed into the window of a service station on Wyee Road.
It is alleged two offenders threatened a store employee and attempted to steal an ATM from inside.
The car drove away but attempts to take the ATM were unsuccessful.
The vehicle was later found by Tuggerah Lakes Police in Hue Hue Road and was discovered to be stolen. It will be examined by forensic specialists.
Police from Lake Macquarie Local Area Command are investigating the incident and are appealing to the community for any information they may have.
