A taxi driver was assaulted and robbed at Benowa last evening.
Around 8.15pm the 44-year-old driver was leaving the public toilets located at the intersection of Benowa Road and Slatyer Avenue when he was approached by two men.
They assaulted him inside the toilet block before stealing a sum of cash and were last seen fleeing on foot towards Parasol Street, Ashmore.
The taxi driver sustained a laceration to his lip as well as bruising to his eye and face.
The men are both described as Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in their early 20s with solid builds and approximately 180cms tall.
