St Marys Police have arrested and charged a woman after she allegedly defrauded more than $100,000 from her employer.

It will be alleged the woman – who was employed as an administration officer – fraudulently obtained in excess of $123,000 by altering data in a computer system.

The woman worked for the company from January 2008 until November 2010.

The matter was reported to police in May and investigations were initiated.

A 46-year-old woman from Hazelbrook was arrested at St Marys Police Station about 2pm on Monday 4 July 2011.

She was subsequently charged with a number of fraud-related offences and was given conditional bail to appear in Penrith Local Court on 27 July 2011.
