Police are investigating an aggravated robbery at an Elizabeth East chemist this evening.

At 9.15pm on Wednesday 21 June a man entered the Spruance Road chemist wearing a mask and armed with a hammer. The man went behind the counter and attempted to steal medication but ran off when he was confronted by staff.

Patrols searched the area with the assistance of Police Dog Nero, who picked up a track that ended at Chillingworth Road, but the suspect could not be located.

The suspect is described as about 175-180cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a mask, black hooded top with the hood covering his head, black pants and black shoes.
