A woman will appear in court today after being charged with two counts of attempted armed robbery on service stations in the Coffs Harbour area.
About 5.45am yesterday (Thursday 14 July, 2011) police allege the 39-year-old woman attended a service station on the Pacific Highway at Boambee. She was allegedly armed with a knife and produced a hand-gun, demanding money. She left empty-handed.
About 12.35pm the same day (Thursday 14 July, 2011) the woman allegedly attended a service station in Coffs Harbour, produced a large knife and stole six packets of tobacco. She returned to the store shortly after with a male and returned the stolen goods. She was arrested by police.
Police executed a search warrant on the woman’s home in Boambee East where a number of items were seized including clothing, drugs and a long firearm.
The 39-year-old woman has been charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon and robbery whilst armed with offensive weapon.
She was refused bail to appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
