It is alleged that just before 10:00 pm on 12 July, the man entered the bottle shop and placed two bottles of alcohol in his bag.
Staff at the bottle shop requested payment for the alcohol, but the man refused. It is alleged the man told staff that he had a gun before leaving the store.
The man was charged with robbery and bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.
