Police have charged a man in relation to organised retail theft across Sydney.
About 4.40pm yesterday (Friday 29 July 2011), police from Surry Hills Region Enforcement Squad arrested a 31-year-old man in relation to shoplifting offences.
He was taken to Redfern Police Station and assisted police with their inquiries.
Officers from the Leichhardt Proactive Crime Team attended Redfern Police Station and spoke with the man following their investigation into the theft of computer hard drives from stationary retailers across Sydney.
He was charged with eight counts of larceny and has been refused bail. He is due to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 30 July 2011).
