Police are investigating three aggravated robberies which occurred on Friday 29 July 2011. At this time there is no indication that the robberies are linked.
At 6.20pm, a 55-year-old Elizabeth Downs woman was approached by a man who grabbed her handbag while she was getting into her vehicle on Princes Road at Torrens Park.
The man ran from the scene and was pursued by the woman in her vehicle for a short time, before she lost sight of him.
The victim’s purse was found behind bushes at the Mitcham Shopping Centre a short time later.
The victim was physically unharmed during the robbery.
The man is described as if Caucasian appearance, 180 centimetres tall, 80 kg with short dark hair.
He was wearing dark pants and cream coloured woollen jumper.
At 8.40pm, a 47-year-old Seacombe Gardens woman was robbed of money an ATM on Morphett Road, Oaklands Park.
The woman was approached by a man who was armed with a knife and had his face covered who demanded money before snatching money out of the her hand.
When the woman spoke to the man he gave back half the money before walking briskly away across Morphett Road and was last seen walking west along Lascelles Avenue at Warradale.
The woman was physically unharmed during the incident.
The man is described as being Caucasian, in his early 20’s, 175 cm tall, very slim build, fair, with a fair/reddish complexion.
He was wearing a black scarf covering his face, only his eyes were visible, a black hooded jumper with a white stripe down both arms, dark jeans.
At 9.30pm, an 18-year-old Seaview Downs man stopped his vehicle on the side of the road on Richmond Avenue, Colonel Light Gardens to read a street directory.
While seated in the vehicle a man approached and tapped on the drivers’ window.
The driver wound down the window and was confronted by the man who was holding a knife and demanding money.
The driver immediately drove away leaving the offender on the side of the road empty handed.
The man is described as being Caucasian, 183 cm tall wearing a black hoody jumper.
