Police are investigating the armed robbery of a fast food restaurant in Sydney’s north.
About 1.20am this morning (Monday 15 August 2011), two males, one armed with a machete, entered the 24-hour fast food restaurant on Pennant Hills Road, Thornleigh.
They ordered everyone to lie on the floor and demanded cash from the registers.
An amount of cash was handed to the men and they fled the scene on foot. They were last seen running down Central Avenue.
Police from a number of Local Area Commands attended the scene. No one was injured in the incident.
The man with the machete has been described as wearing a balaclava and a fluoro yellow jacket. The other male was wearing a black hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants with a white stripe down the side.
