A 15-year-old boy has been charged following the investigation into an alleged armed robbery of a service station in Wynnum West on August 9.

It is alleged around 8pm a male armed with a knife entered the Wynnum Road business, threatening a store employee before fleeing with a sum of money and cigarettes.

The 15-year-old will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Police investigations are continuing.
