Detectives from Task Force Resolve working in partnership with South Eastern Region police have charged a woman with stealing, after an armed robbery at the Returned Services League (RSL) Club at Southport in July.
A 33-year-old man from Mermaid Beach was previously charged in relation to the incident and appeared in court on Monday on one count each of armed robbery, deprivation of liberty and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Police will allege that the 31-year-old Nerang woman conspired with the man to steal money from the RSL Club.
She will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
Detective Superintendent John Sheppard who leads the Gold Coast based Task Force said he was pleased with the result.
“The efforts by the detectives involved is further testament to the professionalism and commitment of the Task Force to make serious in roads into solving the spate of serious violent robberies in the South Eastern Region,” Superintendent Sheppard said.
