Detectives are conducting inquiries following an armed robbery at a north coast service station overnight.
About 9.30pm yesterday (Monday 16 May), a man armed with a shotgun entered a petrol station on Harbour Drive, Coffs Harbour, and threatened the 23-year-old male console operator.
The offender stole a sum of cash from a register before fleeing the scene.
No shots were fired in the incident and no one was injured.
Police from Coffs-Clarence Local Area Command responded to the incident and secured a crime scene, which was examined by forensics officers.
Local detectives are continuing their inquiries in a bid to identify and locate the offender.
He’s been described as being approximately 30 years old, 170cm tall with a slim build and reddish-blond hair.
He was wearing a dark blue raincoat at the time of the incident.
