Police are appealing for information following a recent armed robbery at a women’s clothing store in Northcote.

Investigators have been told that around 2.25pm on 30 August, 2011, a man entered a High Street store with a hunting knife and a plastic bag.

He approached the lone female staff member and demanded cash from the register. The staff member complied and was then instructed to move to the rear of the store.

The offender fled the store with an amount of cash and ran off in a northerly direction up High Street.

He is described as Caucasian, aged in his late 30’s, wearing a cream/yellow coloured baseball cap, black sunglasses, long-sleeve chequered shirt and blue pants.

Investigators have released a photo of a man that they believe may be able to assist their investigation.
