Police have extradited and charged a 37-year-old man, following an armed robbery at a hotel in Mudgee last year.

About 8.20pm on Sunday 14 March 2010, the hotel on Inglis Street, Mudgee was held up, and an amount of money was taken.

Inquiries revealed the man, formerly from Mudgee, was staying at an address in Maryborough, Queensland.

On Tuesday 20 September 2011, detectives attended this address and arrested the man, who was allegedly in possession of a small amount of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

He was taken to the Maryborough Watch House and appeared in Maryborough Court on Thursday 22 September 2011.

The drug matters were dealt with by way of fines and the man was extradited to Sydney yesterday, where he was charged with robbery in company.

He was the third person to be charged in relation to this robbery.

He was refused bail and will appear in Waverley Local Court today (23 September 2011).
