Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Clontarf corner store this afternoon where two employees were threatened with a knife.

Around 4.40pm, a man entered the store at the intersection of Laura and Cathie Streets and threatened staff before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash.

The man is described as in his early 20’s, Pacific Islander in appearance, and slimly built.

He was wearing a blue hooded jumper, long dark pants and a black balaclava at the time.

The two female staff, aged 38 and 62, were not physically injured during the incident.
