Police are investigating the armed robbery of a takeaway food store at Robina last night.
Preliminary investigations suggest just after 9pm, two men entered the Robina Town Drive premises and approached a male employee.
One man threatened the employee with a knife and demanded cash before the other assaulted him.
They fled the scene with a sum of cash and were last seen on Robina Parkway heading toward Somerset Drive.
The male employee was transported to Robina Hospital with minor injuries.
The first man is described as being around 25 years old, Caucasian in appearance, approximately 185 centimeters tall with a heavy build and light brown hair. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper and a yellow shirt with text emblazoned on it.
The second man is described as being around 25 years old, Caucasian in appearance, approximately 178 cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black shirt, black hooded jumper, black jeans and a baseball cap.
Police investigations are continuing.
