Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Sydney’s north west.
About 10.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 18 October 2011), a man entered the convenience store on Metella Road, Toongabbie, armed with a handgun.
The man ordered the store attendant to hand over money before fleeing with an amount of cash.
Police attended the store a short time later. They established a crime scene, which was examined by officers from the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit.
Detectives from Blacktown Local Area Command are investigating the robbery and are looking for a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 173cm tall with a slim build and dark facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hooded jumper, jeans and light-coloured shoes.
