Police are appealing for public information following an armed robbery in Brunswick last night.

Investigators have been told that two masked men entered a gaming venue at the corner of Sydney Road and Barkley Street around 11.20pm.

It’s believed one of the men, armed with a black firearm, confronted the cashier at the front counter and made demands for cash.

The cashier handed over money before the bandit demanded more money and jumped the counter ransacking the office area.

Both men then fled the scene with a substantial amount of money, and were last seen running west along Barkley Street.

The offenders are both described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, aged in their early 20’s, approximately 170cm tall and of medium build.

The man armed with the firearm was wearing a dark top, dark pants and gloves with a white towel wrapped around his head.

The second offender was wearing a dark hooded top with a motif on the front, dark pants and white runners with gloves and black material wrapped around his head.
