Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Slacks Creek in the early hours of this morning.

Preliminary investigations suggest around 3.50am a man entered the Kingston Road store and demanded cash while threatening the male attendant with a knife.

The attendant handed over a sum of cash from the till before the man fled the store in a southerly direction along Kingston Road.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, wearing blue jeans, a black shirt, a dark hoodie and a dark beanie.
