Police are investigating a theft from a store and a serious assault at Tivoli yesterday.
A man entered the Mount Crosby Road shop just before 5pm and he allegedly stole a number of items. Two staff members confronted to man and followed him outside.
As the two store attendants approached the man, he hit the 46-year-old woman on the head with a metal bar. The 66-year-old man then struggled with the man before being pushed to the ground.
The woman received a laceration to her forehead and was transported to the Princess Alexander Hospital for treatment.
Police are still searching for the man who was last seen running on the southern side of Mount Crosby Road towards Cowley Street.
