Police have charged a 16-year-old boy in relation to the attempted armed robbery of a motel in Gympie on Sunday afternoon.
The boy allegedly entered the Chatsworth Road business just before 4pm armed with a knife and demanded cash. He left empty handed.
He will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
