Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store in East Ipswich today.
Two men entered the shop around 12.30pm armed with a knife and demanding cash.
The female attendant picked up a hockey stick and struck out at one man.
The man took the stick from the woman and damaged property around the counter before the pair fled the store empty handed.
