A crime scene has been established following the armed robbery of a bank in Five Dock today.

Emergency services were called to the bank on Great North Road just before 2.30pm (Friday 11 November 2011), following reports of a robbery.

Officers attached to Burwood Local Area Command attended and were told a man entered the bank and produced a firearm, before fleeing on a pushbike with a sum of money.

No shots were fired during the incident and no one was injured.

Police are conducting a canvass of the area and are asking if anyone believes they see the person connected with this robbery, they do not approach them and instead call Triple Zero (000).
