Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred at a pizza store in Port Adelaide this morning.

Just before 12.50am a man entered the pizza store on St Vincent Street armed with a liquid filled syringe.

He threatened a staff member, who fortunately was not injured in the incident, before fleeing with an amount of cash.

The suspect is described as being a man aged about 40 years, medium to stocky build, an olive complexion, with short / shaved dark greying hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured jumper and jeans
