Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store in Greenslopes earlier this morning.

Around 1am a male walked into the store on Logan Road and produced what appeared to be a firearm.

He stood in the store for a moment and noticed a customer at the counter, he then turned and fled on foot without any cash or property.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being possibly Caucasian in appearance with a slim build. He was wearing a black balaclava, a black long sleeve top and dress pants.
