Police are appealing for assistance to help identify two people who may be able to assist with inquiries following an armed robbery at East Maitland last month. About 4.20pm on Friday 28 October, a man entered a convenience store on Mitchell Drive and approached the cashier area. He produced a knife, threatening the female attendant, and demanded she hand over money. The man left the store with a small amount of cash and was seen to leave on the rear of a red and white coloured Honda 250cc motorcycle with no registration plates. The two men were last seen heading down Mitchell Drive towards the New England Highway. As a result of the incident no one was injured. Police would like to speak to a person depicted in a CCTV image, described as being male, aged in his late 20’s, Caucasian appearance, about 185cm with a thin build. He has short spiky hair with white tips, brown eyes, a wide flat nose with an unshaven appearance. He is shown wearing a dark blue and green stripped long sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans and ‘Nike’ joggers. Police also wish to speak to a second person, described as male, with a dark complexion and a thin build. He was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and blue denim jeans.
