A 38-year-old Gold Coast woman was assaulted and robbed in a Helensvale’s car park this morning.
Around 11.10 the woman parked her vehicle at a shopping centre located on Millaroo Drive. As she exited the car a man approached and punched her in the face knocking her to the ground.
He then stole cash before fleeing on foot.
The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 175cms tall, with dark brown hair and a solid build.
The woman sustained minor injuries.
Police investigations are continuing.
