Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Urangan hotel which occurred late last evening.

Around 11pm a man entered the bistro area of the Elizabeth Street business and demanded cash from a male employee.

The man intimated that he was armed with a weapon hidden under his jumper.
He stole cash from the till and fled on foot fled on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The man is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, approximately 175cms tall with a proportionate build.
