Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Boronia Heights shop last night.

Around 8pm a man allegedly armed with a knife entered the Parklands Drive store and threatened a man shopping and then made demands for money and goods from a female employee.

The employee handed over a sum of cash and the man fled the store on foot.

No one was physically harmed during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, 183cm tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black baggy pants, a black base ball cap and clothing covering his face.
