Police are investigating a glassing in Darlinghurst overnight.

About 1.30am (Saturday 14 January 2012), police were called to a licensed premise on William Street following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Kings Cross Local Area Command attended and found a 23-year-old man suffering a hand injury.

A 20-year-old man is believed to have suffered a minor laceration to his head, however, he left the scene before emergency services attended and is yet to speak with police.

Police have been told the men, both German Nationals, were drinking at the premises before they became involved in an altercation.

Two other men were arrested at the scene and taken to Kings Cross Police Station before they were released without charge.

No charges have been laid and investigations are continuing.
