A 30-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman from Beaudesert have been charged following the alleged armed robbery of a Holland Park convenience store at knifepoint yesterday.
Shortly after 10am, it is alleged a man entered the Holland Road store and threatened the employee with a knife before fleeing in a waiting vehicle with a sum of cash and a wallet.
Police arrested a man and a woman nearby a short time after in relation to the incident.
It will also be alleged the pair were involved in the theft of a bag at 1.15pm on January 2 from a woman as she walked along Samuel Street, Camp Hill.
The 30-year-old man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery, and stealing and is due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
The 26-year-old woman has been charged with one count each of receiving tainted property and stealing. She is due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 2.
Nobody was physically injured during either incident.
Investigations are continuing.
