21 January 2012 – Update – Arrests – Armed Robbery – Pharmacy – Ferndale

 Detectives from the Regional Investigation Unit have charged a 38 year old Kelmscott man and a 42 year old woman with Aggravated Armed Robbery following an incident at the Ferndale Pharmacy on Metcalf Road, Ferndale which occurred at about 2.00pm on Friday 20 January 2012.

It will be alleged that the male offender entered the Ferndale Pharmacy and threatened staff and demanded drugs. The offender was handed a quantity of drugs and was then observed to drive from the scene with a female accomplice.

Enquiries resulted in a premise in Kelmscott being searched and it will be alleged the stolen medication and weapon were recovered, the offenders were subsequently charged.

Both offenders are due to appear before East Perth Magistrates Court today – Saturday 21 January 2012
