Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man involved in an armed robbery in St Kilda on Friday, 13 January.

Investigators have been told the man, who was armed with a firearm, entered a convenience outlet on Barkly Street around 4.35am.

The offender has demanded and received a quantity of cash from the attendant, before exiting the store and fleeing in a southerly direction.

The offender is described as Caucasian, between 172 and 175cm tall with brown hair and an unshaven appearance.

He was last seen wearing a pair of khaki tradesman type overalls with a dark coloured top underneath and a leather style bomber jacket. He also had a black beanie on.

Police have released an image of a man they believe can assist the investigation.
