Police are investigating the armed robbery of an Albion take-away food outlet tonight in which a sum of cash was stolen at knifepoint.

Around 5pm, a man has entered the Hudson Road store and threatened the male attendant before making away with money from the till.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 180cm tall, slimly built and aged in his mid to late 20’s. At the time he was wearing a hi-visibility yellow work shirt with arm reflectors, dark pants, a red cap and large sunglasses.

Anyone who may have seen a man of this description in the area at the time is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

The attendant was not physically injured during this incident.
