27 January 2012 – Update – Arrests – Armed Robbery – Service Station – Parafield Gardens

Elizabeth police have made two quick arrests following an alleged armed hold-up at a Parafield Gardens service station overnight. 

Just before 4.30am, the couple allegedly entered the ‘On the Run’ service station on the corner of Kings Road and Main North Road at Parafield Gardens, the woman armed with a knife threatened the console operator and demanded cash and cigarettes. 

There were no injuries and the suspects described as Caucasian wearing hooded tops fled on foot with a small amount of cash across Main North Road. 

A short time ago, a 26-year-old man from Gulfview Heights and a 26-year-old woman from Paralowie were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. 

Both have been refused police bail to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
