6 February 2012 – Armed Robbery – Bonwick Street Bank – Fawkner

Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a bank in Fawkner on 6 January.
Investigators have been told that two balaclava clad men ran into the bank on Bonwick Street around 3pm.
The men were carrying a cut down long-arm firearm and a handgun and told staff to hand over cash.
Staff complied and the men then fled the building and were last seen driving off in a green sedan.
The burnt out car was located by police about 10 minutes after the robbery.
Police believe that the offenders drove off in another vehicle.
