Detectives from the Gold Coast and Coomera have charged a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from no fixed address, in relation to a number of armed robberies in south-east Queensland in April this year.

It is alleged the couple were extradited from Lismore yesterday following police investigations.

The man has been charged in relation to the attempted armed robbery of a tavern at Miami on April 16, and the armed robberies of a hotel at Robina on April 17 and a fast food outlet at Coomera on April 28.

He has been charged with numerous offences including armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing, burglary and receiving tainted goods.

The woman has been charged with the armed robbery of a hotel at Robina on April 17.

Both are expected to face Southport Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
