Police are investigating the armed robbery of a business at Underwood this afternoon.

Around 4.15pm, a man entered the Compton Road retail store and produced a firearm.

He threatened staff members and customers before obtaining cash from a female shop assistant and fleeing on foot.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his 40s with a slim build and a mole above his cheek bone.

He was wearing a black jumper, black long pants, black shoes and a black and white motorbike helmet. He was also carrying a black bag.

No one was physically injured during the robbery and police investigations are continuing.
