Police from City Central Local Area Command have charged two men following an alleged glassing at a bar in the CBD this morning.

Police have been told a fight broke out between two groups of people in the bar in George Street, Sydney, about 1.30am today (19 February).

A 21-year-old man suffered a cut to the top of his head after being struck with a glass and was taken to Sydney Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested two men, aged 19 and 21, and took them to City Central Police Station where they were charged with one count each of affray.

The men, both from Bossley Park, were granted conditional bail to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on 13 March 2012.

Investigations are on-going. The injured man, from Liverpool, has been released from hospital.
