A woman will appear in court this morning accused of stealing cash from a man during a robbery at Waterloo.
Just after midday on Thursday 23 February, the 51-year-old epileptic withdrew cash from an ATM at a hotel at the intersection of George and Wellington Streets at Waterloo.
The man left the hotel and walked down a nearby alleyway where he was allegedly confronted by a woman.
The woman alleged pushed the man against a wall before taking his money.
A witness contacted police and the woman left the scene.
Police from Redfern Local Area Command went to the area and spoke with the victim and also viewed CCTV from the hotel and nearby shops.
Last night, the woman was charged over the robbery after being arrested on an unrelated matter earlier in the day.
The 39-year-old woman was refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
