Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery that occurred in Silkstone last night.

Initial information suggests that shortly after 9pm, a male entered a Blackstone Road service station and produced a knife.

The man threatened a male console operator and made demands for money before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash.

He was last seen heading east on Blackstone Road.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his early to mid twenties, approximately 173cm tall with a slim build, blue eyes, and blonde hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue hooded jumper, red shorts, black back pack, and red baseball cap. He was not wearing any shoes.

Police would particularly like to speak with the male driver of a white coloured utility with Kmart signage on the side, who they believe may have witnessed
