Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery of a convenience store in Croydon last week.
About 8:30pm, Thursday 15 March 2012, two women were in the process of closing the store on Webb Street when a man entered the premises.
Police have been told the man, armed with a handgun, threatened a woman who was working behind the counter.
The man allegedly made demands for cash before pointing the gun at the other woman and then fled the store empty handed.
The robbery was later reported to Burwood Police on Saturday night (17 March 2012) with detectives immediately commencing an investigation into the incident.
Police are looking for a man who has been described as being about 165cm tall with a slim build and wearing a black and white hooded zip-up jumper.
