Four teenagers and a man have been charged following investigations into the alleged break-in at a services club located at Hillcrest early this morning.
It will be alleged that around 2.15am five males smashed the glass door of the bottleshop section of the Anzac Avenue business.
Once inside they were confronted by a security guard. The group allegedly threw a bottle of alcohol and rocks hitting the guard before fleeing the scene. The guard was not injured.
They were last seen running up Anzac Avenue.
A police dog assisted in the investigation and five males were taken into custody at a nearby address.
It is also alleged a car that was reported stolen from a Stafford residence on May 26, 2011 was located at the services club shortly after the incident.
Three 15-years-olds, two from Inala and one from Murrarie and a 14 year-old also from Inala are facing charges of enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence by break, assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
The teenagers will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
An 18 year-old Bundamba man has been charged with enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence by break and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company. He is due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
