Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Marsden overnight in which a man allegedly threatened an employee with a knife.

Around 11.30pm, a man entered the Browns Plains Road business and allegedly demanded money from the attendant.

The offender obtained a sum of cash before fleeing the store.

The attendant was not physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian, around 20 years of age and with brown hair. He was wearing grey pants, a hooded jumper and his face was covered in cloth.

Investigations are continuing.
