A man has been taken to hospital following an armed robbery that occurred last night in Sherwood.
Initial investigations suggest that just after 8.30pm, three men have entered a Sherwood Road bottle shop and have threatened the attendant with a bottle.
The attendant was forced to carry a number of bottles of alcohol to a vehicle outside the store before he was struck unconscious with the bottle.
The three men have left the scene in a maroon Ford Falcon with a sum of cash and a number of bottles of alcohol.
The vehicle was last seen travelling down Sherwood Road towards the Brisbane Markets.
The attendant was treated at the scene for a laceration to his head, before being transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The first male is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance,183cms tall, of a solid build and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, white baseball cap and dark gloves.
The second male is described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, of a thin build and was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper, black pants, red gloves and shoes with a white stripe on them.
The third male is described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, of a thin build and was last seen wearing white shorts and a grey cap with a red peak.
