30 May, 2011 – Armed Robbery – Officer Shot – Pacific Pines Tavern

Shortly before 11 pm last night, police were called to an armed robbery in progress at the Pacific Pines Tavern.
The first responding vehicle was from Coomera CIB.
One of the two officers in the vehicle, Plain Clothes Senior Constable Damian Leeding was injured by a shotgun wound to his head.
He is currently in a critical condition in the Southport Hospital.
Further advice will be provided.
The thoughts and prayers of everyone in the QPS, and Queensland community are with Senior Constable Leeding and his family.
