May 30, 2011 – Thefts – Industrial Yard – Cavan – Jewellery – Modbury

Police are investigating two significant thefts over the weekend. 

The first was two forklifts taken from an industrial yard in Newcastle Crescent, Cavan. 

Sometime between 6pm on Saturday and 8am Sunday, thieves have taken the forklifts and a large truck with a drop floor or similar would have been used to remove the forklifts. 

The second theft involved a number of expensive Tag Heur watches from a jewellery store in Tea Tree Plaza at Modbury on Sunday afternoon. 

At about 3pm, someone jemmied a cabinet to access the watches without being detected by staff.
