June 2, 2011 – Shooting – Police Officer Update – Gold Coast

Following the death of Detective Senior Constable Damian Leeding in the Gold Coast Hospital Intensive Care Unit this afternoon police have upgraded charges against two men and a woman previously charged over the alleged shooting incident.

A 37-year-old man, a 38-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman all from Nerang have now been con-jointly charged with the murder of Detective Senior Constable Damian Leeding.

They are expected to face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, Thursday June 2, 2011.

The Team at Crime Alert want to wish the Leeding family all the strength and support during this difficult period with the passing of Snr Con. Damian Leeding. The Qld Police Union have also set up an acount for his family so please give generously.
