Police are appealing for the public’s assistance following a jewellery robbery in Sydney’s south west earlier today (Wednesday 11 July 2012).

About 11.15am, two jewellery salesmen had just returned to their vehicle in a shopping centre car park on Gilchrist Drive, Campbelltown when they were approached by three people wearing balaclavas.

The offenders smashed both front-side windows of the vehicle with an unidentified object and assaulted the man in the passenger’s seat.

The offenders then took two bags from the rear seat before fleeing in a waiting car – a white Ford Falcon sedan bearing NSW registration plates BC-39-GD.

The Falcon was last seen exiting the upper level of the car park.

Campbelltown Police attended and established a crime scene. The surrounding area was canvassed and forensic examinations also conducted.
