Police have charged a 38-year-old man following investigations into the armed robbery of a retail outlet at Pialba last night.

It will be alleged just after 7pm a man entered the store inside a Main Street shopping centre and threatened staff with what was believed to be a firearm.

He allegedly fled the store after stealing a sum of cash.

A 38-year-old man was charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court today.
